What is Sellers.json File?
Sellers.json is IAB Tech Lab's standard that promotes transparency in advertising networks. Also, it helps the users to avoid fraud.
Sellers.json uses a publicly available file providing seller information. Publishers (who place ads on their website) can choose whether they want to share their personal name in this file or their business name. (Individual name or business name depends on the type of your Adsense account)
This gives advertisers a reliable way to know about the publisher and verify their identity.
How To Fix Google Sellers.json File Issue?
1. Sign in AdSense Account:
First of all login to your Adsense account.
2. Click on notification bell icon :
Click on notification icon on top right side.
3. Click on action button :
In the notification “we encourage you to publish your seller information in the Google sellers.json file. Visit the account settings page to review your current visibility status.” Click on the Action button below.
Or
Go to Account >> Account infomation by clicking on the three-lined icon on the left.
4. Select Transparent option:
The options of confidential and transparent will appear in the seller information visibility section. You have to select transparent.
5. Add business domain:
Below the business domain, you have to add the domain name of the website on which you have installed Adsense AIDS.
Your domain name should be something like this:
Like – Yourdomainname.com or my domain.com.us etc.
Do not add https:// or www at the beginning of the domain or slash (/) at the end.
Do not add any subdomain to it.
6. Save Setting:
After adding the domain, click anywhere on that page by moving the cursor on the empty space. This will save the setting.
After transparent the seller information visibility by the publisher, the advertiser will see the publisher information in the sellers.json file as follows.
